The competition was looking to provide an expansion with a defined program connecting the two buildings that currently form the Zurbaran school in Bilbao. Our proposal was to build a single solid, robust building in the space between those two, so that the connection between all levels of the resulting building would be absolute. Furthermore, the proposal guaranteed all green areas and vegetation currently on the site, which have become iconic for this school and are greatly appreciated by both teachers and students as well as their parents.
